The smith who has created this beautiful golden sword has clearly been an artist. The ratio of the length of the beautifully decorated hilt to the length of the blade of pure shining gold is the same as the ratio of the length of the blade to the length of the whole sword. What is important from the hydra slayer's point of view is that also the ratio of the number of heads after an attack to the number of heads before an attack is roughly the same. Thus, it makes 1 head out of 2, 2 heads out of 3, 3 heads out of 5, 5 heads out of 8, 8 heads out of 13, and so on. Other head counts are decomposed as sums of distinct numbers in the sequence, for example 81 = 55 + 21 + 5 will become 50 = 34 + 13 + 3. The enchantment given by the Scroll of Big Stick gives lots of extra power with almost no cost, since it gives an optional power to do such cutting several times with one attack -- if only one attack is possible, it will attack just once.
