Fighter Launch

The ship shivers, again and again as Alpha wing thunders out. Beta wing will be moving to the launch cradle. You can feel the loaders shifting your Pugio, the slight inertia noticeable with the gravplates dormant. Dangerously fragile against the forces around you. Again the Aquila shivers, gravplates fighting the insane reaction forces as each 150 ton fighter is accelerated to combat speed. We're up, girls. Gently your Pugio's swung into the launch cradle, the magnetic catapult grabbing you with a bone-deep sound more felt than heard. The internal gravplates growl as they spin up, preparing to take the load. Showtime.
