The Matricks are powerful beings with immensely hard scales and skin like sandpaper. Their brute strength and solid defenses make them ideal guardians. Once a prevailing power among the other species, they have since been enslaved by the Dredan. Their defenses were easily demolished by the Dredan’s psionic weapons.\n\nBefore the race fell into slavery, they were strongly allied with the Vause, living in relative peace among each other. However, the Vause betrayed their Matrick allies at the Battle of Sreealla, fleeing the attack and allowing the Matrick to fall. They are now used as mine workers and front line soldiers under the Dredan’s command.
